Top 7 Worst Foods That Sabotage Quick Weight Loss

 

high carbohydratesNow we know there are a lot of foods that should be cut from your diet if you want to lose weight fast and keep it off.  This list below is only a few examples of some of the worst foods you should be removing from your diet.  Some are obvious by the name, but do you know how much damage they can cause to your waistline?

Work on removing these foods from your diet and you will be losing weight fast in no time.  Don’t take for granted that it is ok to eat these foods every now and then.  If your goal is to lose weight fast then you need to focus on the task at hand. 

You can work on incorporating a few of these foods into your eating plan every now and then at a later time.  For now if quick weight loss is your goal then you have to focus and that means removing as many of the sabotaging foods as you can during this weight loss process. 

1. Fried Food

Due to the high saturated fat content that result from frying french fries and chicken, fish, etc in vegetable oil.

2. Pastries such as donuts and breakfast cakes

These types of foods are fried, full of sugar and white flour and most all varieties contain trans fat. Some of these foods are  made up of about 35 percent trans fat. An average breakfast pastry will give you about 300 calories, mostly from sugar

3. Soda

One can of soda has about 10 teaspoons of sugar, 150 calories, and is loaded with artificial food color.  The average American drinks an estimated 56 gallons of soft drinks each year.

4. Bacon and Hot Dogs or all cured meats that contain Nitrates

Many foods, especially cured meats such as bacon and hot dogs, use nitrates to preserve color and maintain microbial safety. Nitrate is harmless, but it can convert to nitrite, which can form nitrosamines, a powerful cancer-causing chemical, in your body.

5. Potato Chips or Snack Chips

These types of foods are deceiving because it doesn’t take many chips to equal 200 calories or more per serving.  Most chips are high in fat and high in sodium.

6.  White Bread

White breads have been stripped of their nutritional value. Because of heavy processing, white bread is equivalent to table sugar: it has a very high glycemic index close to glucose.  Instead choose whole grain breads that provides vitamins and minerals along with complex carbohydrates and fiber. 

7.  Table sugar

You should refrain from the table sugar you use to sweeten your morning coffee, but all candy, chocolate, soda and other sweets included. Table sugar, which is actually a 50/50 mix of fructose and glucose, has zero nutritional value and just a bunch of empty calories which will increase your blood glucose levels and force the body to release large amounts of insulin.

To reiterate these foods are only a few of the bad foods you should be removing from your weight loss diet.  Remember to lose weight fast you need to focus and that means eating as healthy as you can during the weight loss process.  Once you have lost the weight then you can consider a few “every now and then” foods.  Until then stay focused.

  3. Damn, that’s a nasty list of foods.

    The thing about these foods is, for a lot of people, they get addicted to the taste. All the salt, fat and sugar combined in a tasty but very unhealthy treat.
