Just one small bite.

It’s only a taste.

It won’t do anything to your healthy weight loss plans.

Thoughts like these can easily steer your healthy eating off course.  Those times when you’re faced with something that is most definitely not diet food but you have a little anyway… they add up.

Healthy diets don’t mean you eat vegetables and water 24 hours a day.  But they do require you to put some thought into how to eat healthy.  (more…)

Apparently, being educated in any field or skill changes the direction of your life.  It causes you to think more about the importance of your health.  You also tend to become more aware of your options for healthy diets and lifestyles, as well as  the end results of good and bad choices.  You become more willing and able to make smart decisions, such as quitting smoking or wearing a helmet on a motorcycle.

If learning more about anything – literally, any subject matter – lets you live a longer, fuller life, just imagine what health education can do for you.   (more…)

The Two Major Components of Healthy Diets

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

Some people love healthy eating.  They devote all their time and energy on learning how to eat healthy, discovering new diet food, and making healthy meals.  They are committed to eating right in order to achieve healthy weight loss.  They might even run out of time to follow through with an exercise plan.

Other people love working out.  They spend time at the gym, working with personal trainers, and researching information about body composition and muscles.  They work their way towards healthy weight loss by doing physical activity.  Exercise is such a big part of their lives that they don’t always worry about eating healthy diet food, and in fact, they might be more tempted to follow fad diets.

So who is more likely to lose weight: the person who concentrates on eating right or the person who concentrates on exercising?  (more…)
