It is extremely busy around my house right now because work is keeping me very busy and we are leaving on vacation in 2 days.
We are going to Colorado to get some skiing in and a bunch of family time. My 2.5 year old daughter has said she wants to come skiing with me.
To say I am excited for this is the understatement of the year.
Now if you knew my daughter you would know she can change her mind in an instant just like the Santa Claus episode we had last weekend. For 3 days she wanted to give Santa a hug so we we went out to eat and then were going to see Santa afterwards and at dinner she said she didn’t want to go see him anymore.
We never saw Santa.
So my excitement for her getting on skis is restrained because it could change at anytime. Though if she does it will be one of the best vacations ever and I will for sure be taking video and pictures for all of you to see.
Anyways, I will be burning some mega calories next week while skiing. For some reason I like to always challenge myself so I will be pushing my skill level and as a result getting in a great workout every day.
What are you doing to challenge yourself this month?
Just because your life is busy with the holiday season doesn’t mean you should take the month off and just start with the New Years Resolutions on January 1st.

Hi Jayon. I am answering your question about what I am doing to stay in shape during the end of the year season. In addition to my weight training (cardio incorporated in between), I walk during my lunch break. I also take opportunities to walk to different destinations. For example, within the past two weeks, I walked to and from the grocery store (2 miles one way). Last night, instead of waiting for the bus, I walked home (2 miles). Of course, I tried as best to be safe (walked on sidewalks and in well lit streets and I stayed on streets that had frequent traffic (as it was dark). Thanks!
I also walk up and down stairs during the day at work.
Hi Jayson! Glad that you’re having fun. I just started getting back into my exercise routine. I have to admit that I’ve been slacking off. Well, I will not be one of those to make that New Year’s Resolution. I will keep you posted on how I’m doing with my workouts either here, facebook or twitter. I follow you on both. Take care and have fun skiing with your daughter.
I can say that its very effective when you’re out of town or on vacation you tend to lose some weight because of the activities you’re attending. Like when you walk around the city or swim at your favorite beach resort. Calories will definitely burn and you’ll going to lose some weight.
