By the year 2030 86% of Americans could be overweight or obese by the year 2030.
Currently Americans are at almost 67% so in 21 years the overweight epidemic will rise another 20%.
That is very sad and inexcusable.
Do you realize that health care spending could ring in at $957 billion dollars. That is BILLION.
All because we have adopted this lifestyle of laziness and convenience foods.
The sad and inexcusable part is that all this can be prevented and reversed if more of us just started caring about our bodies and our health.
Forget about your looks and start thinking about your health. If you are lucky enough to have not experienced health problems then you still have time to make a change.
If you are already experiencing health problems because of your weight I bet you wish you could tell everyone you could that you wish you would have made a change years ago. Who wants to end up taking dozens of medications, have sore knees, have problems walking and be out of breath just walking to the bathroom.
Those are the types of symptoms you will have when you are obese and do nothing about it. For some it is much worse with heart problems and joint replacements all because of what they ate and their lack of activity.
A census was just released that the percentage of obese individuals exceeded the overweight individuals. There are now 34% that are obese and 32.7% that are overweight. Yet, all these communities are creating health initiatives yet the obesity problem continues to get worse.
Why is that?
I will tell you why.
Because the solution still falls on the individuals shoulders. We can create all the weight loss programs in the world, but if you don’t take action and start folllowing some of them then the obesity problem will continue to get worse.
Stop eating the junk food and processed foods.
And start eating better choices and becoming active.
The more you move and feel good about yourself the more weight you will drop.
You can reverse the obesity epidemic.
It is up to you though.
I can only do so much. You are the one that has to take action.
I know you can do it!
Yours in health,

You are right that the individual choices are very important. I would add that in today’s weight loss climate, making those choices may not be so easy. There are thousands of products out there, and very few actually work or are healthy. It’s amazing how little the weight loss industry actually cares about people’s health. They create so many fake products that cater to people’s ignorance- and consumers cannot keep up with the research and ingredient issues.
Thanks for the post.
It’s really not that hard to get healthy and lose wieght and you don’t need to buy any program to do it. The whole weight loss industry is one big fraud. Cut out fast food, any and all soft drinks, anything with HFC – High Fructose Corn Syrup, and get off yer butt and exercise – push yourself.
Eat whole wheat pasta and breads instead of the zero nutrition, sugar loaded white stuff. Add in more veggies. Do a few simple things like that and you’ll half way there. It’s not that hard people. Get 8 hours (or more) of sleep a night.
