Are You An Achiever When It Comes To Eating Right For Quick Weight Loss?

I just finished reading a book called Strengths Finder 2.0.  I read it to help me determine my strengths and weaknesses.  The idea is to focus on your strengths and hire someone or delegate someone to take care of your weaknesses. 

There have been numerous studies done showing that you are better off focusing on your strengths rather than always trying to improve your weaknesses.  Ask for help with the weaknesses.

This relates to weight loss in many ways.

Why is dieting so psychologically draining?

Well, for one, it requires change in a major area of our lives—the way we eat—and for most of us, change is a very uncomfortable thing.

Fact is, changing old habits and forming new ones is never an easy task; however, with dieting, it becomes exceedingly difficult given all of the physical adaptations that occur (which we will soon discuss).

Good Nutrition Should Include BCAAs

It is exciting to see new research studies coming out regarding Branched Chain Amino Acids.  There are already studies out on how they can help you with eating right and your weight loss.  I will provide a link to a weight loss study at the end of this post.

I was in the Tampa airport recently eating some lunch waiting for my plane to arrive. 

I noticed something on the menu called the Fiesta Burger and I was eating right so I thought I would let you know about this recipe to help with your meal boredom.

Not Eating Right Can Cause 6 Pack Abs Catastrophe

The other night I was watching a little bit of tube with Liane when one of those commercials came on that gets my blood boiling.

"Lose all the weight you want WITHOUT diet and exercise!"

Ok, so I’m not sure if the commercial said exactly that, but you get the general idea.

Eating Right Means Eating Foods That Raise Your Metabolism

I have written before about the benefits of certain foods and their calorie burning properties.  I have also discussed the thermic effect of food and how it can raise your metabolism. 

Well, scientific studies have looked at certain foods consumed directly before working out and how this effects our metabolism and muscle created.

We have known for a while now that consuming whey protein before a workout increases muscle protein synthesis and that the best time to take this is 30 minutes before a workout.  This is all a part of eating right.

Recently though scientists from Michigan State University found that when a whey protein supplement was taken prior to a strength training workout that the participants metabolism was elevated for 24 hours.

Eating Right Means Controlling Your Hunger

One of the biggest obstacles you here when someone is trying to lose weight or diet is that they are always hungry. 

Now this doesn’t always mean that the weight loss program is not working, but more that they are not eating right. 

They are choosing the wrong foods.  They are choosing foods that promote hunger rather than suppress hunger. 

Certain foods actually increase hunger because of the manipulation that those foods have on certain hormones such as insulin and glucagon.
